Summary: The property was very private with a great dock for crabbing and fishing. We spent most of our time in the screened-in wrap around porch and the pool. The house was well appointed and laid out. We look forward to staying again!

Summary: This house was perfect. What a beautiful home. Well appointed with cozy bedrooms and an expansive kitchen. The pool was great and we were able to use it each day. We were also able to use the kayaks and crab pots and had great fun. This house is in a perfect, quiet spot to enjoy the beautiful.

Summary: This was our second stay at Oyster Shell Cottage and love the quiet! The screened porch was a perfect spot to enjoy our morning coffee and observe the beautiful scenery with fish jumping and birds along with very busy squirrels! The swimming pool was so refreshing and the house is so clean and comfortable. We will look forward to our next visit.

Summary: Home is nicely situated with a view and access to the creek. We enjoyed the screened porch, outfitted with comfy furniture. The porch was probably the nicest feature. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain but got in some reading! Beds are comfortable and home has most of what you need. Pool was nice but due to rain we only got to swim 2 days of our stay, note if you have any physical challenges getting in and out of pool may be difficult( it was for me). We ate in every night since restaurants were not very close. We made a trip to the Tides for lunch. Several small towns were a short drive. Would recommend property and would be happy to return(and hope for better weather!)

Summary: Charming, cozy and relaxing! We spent a few days away from the hustle and bustle of the city and couldn’t have picked a better place. The easiness of the river, the comfort of the screened in porch, the joyful sounds of nature put you in another space and time. The house is immaculately clean, kitchen superbly stocked, beds and linens are high end hotel quality, and it’s wonderfully decorated. You can tell this home is loved and cared for - and once you enter you also feel right home. Tip: we made dinner reservations every night. If you’re a foodie like we are don’t miss dinner at Hope and Glory Inn. Special, special, special! PS - I worked remotely for 3 days and there was a beautiful desk facing the river. I was more productive than I had been in weeks. Thanks for letting us stay. We definitely plan to return.

Summary: Oyster Shell Cottage is so charming from the moment you pull up and see the beautiful blue shutters! The decorating is very serene and everything was so comfortable and clean. The kitchen is so well stocked with anything you might need. We absolutely loved the large wraparound screened porch for gazing out at the lovely view of the quiet creek and enjoying the beautiful birds. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Lana for sharing!

Summary: This house had nearly everything a vacationer could love. It was spotless, had a great pool. There were kayaks and oars where the family spent hours on the river. The huge dock is 50 feet behind the house. They supplied everything. Along with the kayaks, and oars, they had fishing poles and even bait. There were chairs and couches and a hammock everywhere to relax. A screen around the whole outside of the house protected our meals from bugs, and many outside fans protected us from the heat. There was plenty of wood for the great fire pit and even crab cages for crabbing. The bedrooms comfortably sleep 8 or more, although we had only four. The master bedroom had a king bed and and very nice and clean bathroom, while another bedroom had views of the river. We strongly recommend this place for a vacation.
